Here’s a case of buyer beware, except you are not the buyer, but the recipient of a give-away. As Tech Crunch’s article points out, Microsoft is willing to give away the software for you to get your web site created, up, and running, for free, if your business qualifies. Sounds great. However, as Tech Crunch also points out, the result is that you are locked in after three years to a solution that you may have been able to get permanently for free using Open Source solutions. Be aware… not everything free is really free of hooks.
